The Bite of the Dog

'My Lord' declares Mordred with a slight indifferent sneer directed at a piece of parchment.

'On other news, this roll of parchment was delivered to the fortress earlier today... it bares the mark of the Dog sire...'

The King snatches the piece of parchment from the hands of Mordred with an air of annoyance, but a small whisper of a smile appears in the corner of his mouth as he runs his broad finger over the embossed seal of the Dog. The brief smile is punctuated with a gruff snort of amusement.


By the explicit order of Captain Sentenza of the band publicly known as the Dogs of War, the following decree is hereby enacted in all Hyboria:

All mercenary companies, considered no more than bandits by the aforementioned Dogs of War an will be declared enemies of the company when services other than ours are used. Whenever a party in a war or skirmish hire such rascals to fight for them, the Dogs of War Company will automatically declare temporary allegiance to the opposing side, unless special compensation is awarded to the parties in question.

This means of course that the Dogs of War Company are to be considered at war with all other mercenary companies who dishonour a code we believe worthy

The Dogs of War, heroically lead by Captain Sentenza have enacted this policy to manage the bad name those that would bring shame upon all those of the blood trade, and to make sure that the customers receive the best possible service.
