A declartion of Friendship and a Plea for Sanity

Sire,

I bring word from the Lord of Fearghal, Athair Tyrnan. It seems he has discovered that Khanes army approaches the town of Tesso. Yet he may still be unaware of the Kings last declaration. It seems the stage has been set for I see no way these too giants can yet escape the chaos that shall follow.

Hail my Liege,

The Northlands has long been quiet, hence my long silence. Recent events however have forced me to put ink to parchment. Clan Fearghal, the mightiest Clan of the Northlands have been drawn into war!

As you may or may not know - Clan Fearghal has built a friendly relationship with the Blood Dawn. Lady Leeloo has been an honored guest at many Clan Fearghal events, including Lughnasadh - she herself did not partake in the ritual cleansing bath, yet we cannot blame her for being a heathen. As well you know Cimmerian culture, sharing Lughnasadh makes you family...

Enough background! War has come to Blood Dawn and I have no choice, but to answer their call for Fearghal strength. This has lead to the signing of a Treaty of War, detailing Rules of engagement. Blood Dawn came in full strength to the walls of Fearghal An Dun, you may ask yourself "Stygians, in a Cimmerian city?" - my guards did the same - seems they have been at the ale barrel as they attacked and mercilessly killed all Blood Dawn members, upon entering our walls. I can still smile at their foolishness... I do not question Crom's strength, yet it was Mitra who helped us get Blood Dawn back on their feet... thank you Anamchara Myrtis.

I have included a signed and sealed copy of the alliance document in this despatch.

I sometimes questioned my choice in involving Clan Fearghal in this war, yet a recent intercepted letter has proven to me inconclusively that Three Rings are a threat to your glorious reign. The fools believe they are doing your bidding, they think they are protectors of peace! Yet I do not even wish for your reply for the Fearghal tribes have little trust in the politics that tie Aqualonia.

They say they fight to cleanse the lands from tyranny, bandit scum and drunken Cimmerian's tribes who would seek to rape the land of its beauty! The sheer arrogance of the fool Khane to think he speaks for Aqualonian throne! For all his so called wisdom lacks the courage to carry out his conquest with the the honorable men of his legion alone.

The very irony and the fact that does not escape my watchful eyes is that he seeks to use the very same murdering bandits that he accuses us of being are self. Nor does it escape my attention Khane and his followers known as the Three Rings have interests and plots far removed from simple servants of the Aqualonian throne and your services. My most trusted councilor and aid tell me of hidden meetings, the employment of leathal Stygian mercenaries and even the twisted magics of those who worship Set!

Fearghal is not blind to the to all the secrets of Khane and better we ally ourself with the misguided Blood Dawn we know rather than the one which shrouds our kingdom in darkness with its secrets and lies.

They say the emblem on their emblem of Three Rings interwoven signifies the Three most powerful nations in Hyboria rather than a plain standard of legion Khane controls. Perhaps this Khane Silver plots for more than just the good of Aqualonia! I feel I should remind you noble Lord, The mighty tribes of Cimmeria fight for what is right even if it means the death of the sons of Aqualonia! Yet I have faith that you Lordship will see fit to recognize the Fearghal cause and condemn this madman's actions.

Athair Tyrnan
Father of Clan Fearghal

The rage of the king can be felt through out the upper sanctuary of the kings hall and well into the slum quarters below at the heart of the city. The kings hurriedly writes a note and slams it into the chest of the scribe before him. 'Yes your highness, I shall present this to the town crier immediately'
