Evil in the Wildlands

My king, we have received further disturbing reports from the Wildlands of Zelta. Following rumours of dark rituals being held close to the entrance to the old ruins of the Sanctum of the Burning Souls a patrol by the Baron of Kerricks Household troops set out to investigate on Wednesday night of last week. Despite suffering delays and casualties on the road from a attack by a group of bandits the Barons men made a startling discovery.

A group of masked Stygian cultists of unknown origin ((ShadowStorm Supremacy)) were observed in a foul ritual. The area close to the ruins was enveloped in dark magical forces. Lightning played across the heavens and a strange evil magical Whirlwind swept the ruins. Fearing that the kingdom was in danger of some foul monstrosity being summoned Baylian led his warriors in a brave charge against the cultists. Through strength of arms the cultists were cut down or forced to flee, the evil fate awaiting the Wildlands at the hands of these Sygians dogs was averted. The baron of Kerrick and several of his warriors were gravely injured in the melee.

Several women seen loitering in the area from the Hosue of Asgard were arrested and taken to Tesso for questioning. These young ladies were later released having been cleared of any wrong doing. Despite this the mighty Ulfgar, Champion of Asgard assaulted several of the Barons men in a miss guided attempt to free his kin. Following diplomatic exchanges between Baylian and Sara leader of the Hosue of Asgard a trial has been set for the 18th July. Ulfgar has been charged with assaulting one of the kings knights, Sir Astalos Firemane. The baron of kerrick hopes a fair trial will but this unfortunate matter to rest.
